The St. George Lion's Club organizes an awesome Special Needs Rodeo and it was an honor to be involved this year. I enjoyed working with the Dixie Roundup Queens Shaylee and Summer. Participating in Special Needs Rodeos is such a rewarding experience and it really teaches me to have a better outlook on life. I had a very special Aunt Bonnie (my dad's sister) who passed away this last year and she was the most amazing person I have ever met. She was born with some mental challenges as well as physical. She was born with deformed legs and the doctors told my grandma that she would never be able to walk. My grandma wouldn't accept that and after multiple surgeries Bonnie was able to walk and play and go to school like all of the other kids. Even with all of the challenges she faced, she always had a positive outlook on life and I know that I am a better person just for having her in my life.
Special Needs children love animals and rodeo and I am so happy that I am able to help share those things with them.
